DIY: Halloween Skewers

DIY Halloween SkewersOn this week will be Halloween and I would like to share with you a tutorial on how to do some beautiful Halloween skewers with an orange jack o lantern, a white ghost and a green Frankenstein.

These skewers are very easy to do, it only took me 30 minutes and they look very beautiful. They are very healthy as no candies are involved, only natural fruits and vegetables and you need almost no material.

The original recipe is with melon, however as in Luxembourg is not the melon season, I replace it with sweet potato, you can also use pumpkin instead of melon. So here is how you do it:

Materials:

  • 1  fruit or vegetable in orange color (melon, pumpkin or sweet potato
  • 5 Kiwis
  • 4 Bananas
  • Liquid dark chocolate
  • 10 Wooden sticks
  • Ice cream scoop

Instructions:

Halloween Skewers Ingredients1. If you are using a sweet potato or pumpkin, cook it in bowling water until it soft enough to eat, if you are using a melon there is no need to cook it.

2. With an ice cream scoop make balls of melon/pumpkin/sweet potato, the cut the kiwis into halves and the bananas in 3 parts.

3. Start decorating the food with the liquid dark chocolate, use your creativity to create different faces.
